Christmas Story II: Ralphie is in his early 30's and now a middle school teacher in his hometown. A couple of years in the Army just after high school taught Ralphie how to put bullies in their places. He runs an after-school "BB Club" which is by invitation only and, while they do spend time shooting at targets, the name doubles for "Banish Bullying". The non-violent techniques Ralphie teaches these kids lead to several humorous show-downs. Ralphie is especially proud of helping his club turn around a bully and his bullying father, who is none other than Ralphie's childhood nemesis. Kids who give up their bullying ways are allowed to join the "BB Club" and become a part of the solution.
Zombie Ralphie from Outer Space
It is 3 days before christmas and Ralphie decides to go the carnival. When he is there he makes a wish to be big. When he wakes up in the morning he is an adult. He quickly freaks out and goes to Doc's house. Doc is this weird kid nobody likes except Ralphie. He knows that he is Ralphie so he wants to help. Doc invented a time traveling winnebago that when traveling at 30 mph it will travel back in time. Ralphie and Doc are traveling on the highway at a blazing speed of 20mph. They soon realize they entered a closed road that is under construction and is ending. Wil Ralphie and Doc reach 30mph in order for Ralphie to stop himself from making his wish? Will I win today's prize? Tune in next time on Movie Mash.
In the sequel, Ralphie is now awidower who has lost the Christmas spirit until an 8 year-old neighbor boy accidentally shoots out one of his stained glass windows with a BB gun. The earnest boy has no money but insists on paying off his debt by performing various household chores for the elderly gentleman. In time, the curmudgeon and his cherubic apprentice form a strong bond and learn much from one another.
I would do a prequeal instead of sequel. The story should follow the lives of a boy and a girl who meet or almost meet on Christmas after Chrstmas before finally becoming Ralphi's The Old Man and Mother. As the story is told we need to learn why Ralphi's Mother hates BB guns and why his dad thinks its okay. We also need to learn that they two had an incredible imagination as children did. Finally we need to build up to things like The Old Man's entry into a contest that wins a lamp and as well as his knowledge and usage of profanity.
P.S. I am not sure that I did not post this twice. I typed it one time but it does not appear in the comments.
do a sequel where ralphie is married to the heiress to the remington fortune and he is the best sharp shooter in the country club clay pigeon ranks
ralphie tries out the gun again and this time does shoot his eye out...... he then starts a bb gun control program. a great drama!
Do a Sequel Where Ralphie is a Fandango puppet, but all his family is clay like Gumby. This time his goal is to get a Dreidel from Santa. And everyone says "you'll Jew your eye out kid"
Ralphie would be grown up and be searching for a authentic red rider like the one he had during his childhood. His Wife would be against it because she wouldn't trust having a bb gun in the house due to their impressionable kids. The movie would of course take place during the holiday season, with Ralphie going to different antique stores and auction houses searching for the gun. Crossovers would be a plenty, with the casts from different auction/antique shows. The movie would end Christmas day with Ralphie getting a gun.
Ralphie wakes up and life is awful.
Ralphie is now an Olympic gold medalist and special forces sniper. In A Christmas Story 2, Ralphie has 24 hours to uncover the details of a plot to unmask Santa and ruin Christmas for all the young children in America. It's a race and Ralphie doesn't know the meaning of failure or disappointment and he's not about to look those words up now or ever.
Bree 123 I love Coldchill180 idea that could be a hit movie
The Parker family is assembled for the holidays when word the "Bunny PJ's Aunt Clara-has passed away. Ralphie's Mom is not in the Christmas Spirit, there's talk of a plant shut down. They make a hand-made Christmas gift pact even though Ralphie is just obssesed with getting a It's "Howdy Doody" Time toy set. So he secrets about the neighborhood getting the sympathies of the neighbors who know that any day the father might be out of work. So Ralphie convinces his brother Randy to join him on their quest for odd jobs for bucks. They agree and concoct the very first "Secret Santa". They attend an eventful Irish Wake the plant shuts down and frugal Aunt Clara leaves them a very modest fortune and matching Novelty sweaters happy holidays!
"A Thanksgiving Story"
Takes place about a year or two later, so all the characters are around the same age. This time, it's the story about how Ralphie goes to great lengths to break the family tradition of heading into the woods to hunt their own turkey. Of course, there are many hilarious moments as Ralphie comes up with unique and deliberate ways to convince his father that store bought turkey is just as good. Alas, his father is not convinced, and they end up going on a hunt. Despite Ralphie's attempts to sabotage the hunt, his father succeeds at getting a turkey. On Thanksgiving Day, however, there's a "repeat" of the original, as the neighbor's dogs "steal" the turkey again. The story ends with them at the chinese restaurant AGAIN!
An 18-year old Ralphie gets drafted into the army & wants a Red Ryder AK-47. But, he doesn't believe in Santa anymore. His commanding officer continually yells at Ralphie & tells him that, in order to receive his AK-47, he must believe. He puts Ralphie through intense training, which consists of watching old Christmas movies, w/ Ralphie strapped to a chair, & his commanding officer constantly screaming "Believe Ralphie! Believe!". His fellow soldiers show off their Red Ryder AK-47's & just about when Ralphie's about to give up on his dream, he has a revelation, sparked from an old memory of Santa brining him his Red Ryder BB Gun. Ralphie finally proclaims, "I do believe!" and then gets shot in the eye, from a ricochet in basic training.
I think a zombie sequel called "The Walking Leg (lamp)" would be a winner!
In the exciting sequel, A Christmas Story 2, the man Ralphie is now a Big Game Hunter. Ralphie goes to Africa and shoots the eye out of a wild buffalo with his trusty Red Ryder BB Gun which scares the beast to death. The next day Ralphie feasts on his game and has the best Christmas dinner ever.
Having grown into an awkward, dysfunctional teenager and with a family that seems to be growing even more irrational and erratic by the minute; Ralphie, now 17 has almost forgotten all about his childhood dream of owning that Red Ryder BB Gun. That is, until he meets Daphne, the BB gun wielding, bubble-gum blowing bad girl who Ralphie instantly falls head over heels for. Determined to win the girl of his dreams in time for Christmas, Ralphie's plight to at last secure his hands on that BB gun once and for all leads to a hilarious series of twists and turns, reminding us that no matter how far we think we have come, some things just never change.
"Another Christmas Story" opens with a shot of the leg lamp. Ralphie's mom is surprised to find that the going bids on the internet for the lamp are escalating at a rapid rate. She accepts the highest bid and buys a bowling alley for the Old Man as a Christmas surprise. Ralphie and Randy have become dot.com partners but come home to surprise their parents at the same Chinese restaurant where they've had many happy holidays over the years. Their kids ask them how else they celebrated Christmas and so embellished (flashback) tales are told.
The family goes into the leg lamp making business. Late one night, a band of marauders enters the factory and destroys the lamps with Red Ryder air rifles. Ralphie goes into work the next day and discovers the mess. Thankfully, the inventory was insured and the company collects a big, fat insurance check. As soon as the check clears, the family sells the lamp business and moves to Tahiti. The profit from the sale of the factory gets donated to charity.
In the sequel, Ralphie is returning home from college on his winter break to tell his parents that he's dropping out. He wants to start a new social network call BBGunbook but he has a problem, his mom sold his bb gun in a yard sale. Ralphie needs it to rally the world to his cause but can he find it or will he return to college?
Set during a snowy Christmas season in 1940's Indiana, nine-year-old Ralphie longs for the ideal Christmas gift, a 2,000-Shot, Range-Model Machine Gun with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time. But when gruff dad and doting mom, and even a stressed-out Santa quote the usual machine gun warning, "You'll shoot your eye out!" Ralphie mounts a full-scale, hint dropping campaign that is a sly combination of innocence and calculation.
The movie is not only about Christmas and machine guns, but also about childhood and a semi-dysfunctional family life. A Tribute to the Original, Traditional, One-Hundred-Percent, Red-Blooded, Two-Fisted, All-American Christmas...Peace, Harmony, Comfort and Joy... Maybe Next Year!!!
The movie opens up to the funeral of Ralphie's dad. Everyone leaves save for Ralphie, who produces the Leg Lamp from beneath his coat and places it lovingly at his dad's Tombstone. He then proceeds to kiss the tombstone, only to get his lips frozen to them.(Of course its during winter!) The story then goes on to his CURRENT Christmas where he is the Assistant Manager of the big town Store, his boss is the bully who tormented him as a kid, with a wife who's like his FATHER!, a son who feels that HIS ultimate present is a REAL ROCKET (including explosives) a weed smoking hippie daughter, and having to host his Hard-to-Please relatives this year!!!
A Christmas Story 2, Ralphie is all grown up and his son wants a Red Ryder BB Gun. Just like Ralphie, everyone keeps telling Ralphie Junior that he'll shoot his eye out. Ralphie Junior gets the Red Ryder BB Gun from his father for Christmas, but he doesn't shoot his eye, he ends up shooting the turkey that the dogs from next door stole from the table.
I like the idea of a teenaged Ralphie trying to pick the perfect gift to give his crush with similar comedic outcomes (OH FUDGE!) The Old Man would be there to offer his 'wisdom' and Ralphie's brother Randy would be just young enough to cramp Ralphie's style (with or without the snowsuit!).
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
