Tobey Maguire has been doing some press for his film Brothers (I’m hearing great buzz on that, by the way), and, as such, folks are asking him about Spider-Man 4. According to Maguire, the fourth installment is set to begin filming in February or March of next year. As far as villains go, he wouldn’t reveal which baddies will be involved in the sequel, though he did say who he’d like to see: The Lizard and Mysterio.....
Welcome back to another edition of our weekly box office poll. We took last week off because The Twilight Saga: New Moon was pretty much the obvious winner (as evidenced by its ginormous $142 million box office haul), but now we’re back with some new films arriving in theaters and what may or may not be a tighter competition. Let’s take a look...
After four big-screen installments, it looks like the Shrek franchise may finally be put to rest … for now. USA Today has unveiled a first look at Shrek Forever After, the fourth (and final?) big-screen Shrek sequel. While all those involved say this Shrek film is the last (hence the title), a spin-off movie starring...
Seeing as it’s Thanksgiving and all, it’s only right that we look back over 2009 and pick out a few movies that we’re thankful for. Ya know, films that moved us, shook us or opened up our minds to new, creative, original ideas. The sort of movies you’ll watch again, or tell your friends to watch...
What if the next Batman film starred Phillip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin and Johnny Depp as The Riddler? Both actors were rumored to be up for those exact parts...
Will you be going back to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon in theaters this weekend? Apparently yes, according to a new Fandango poll where 52% of the fans surveyed said they're going to see the film more than once in theaters. If you do plan to head out for another go-round with Bella and Edward, make sure to...
Some celebrities are a little cautious around their screaming fans because, well, they don't want a fan to accidentally scratch them or do something inappropriate while trying to get their attention/autograph. Robert Pattinson, on the other hand, is afraid for a whole different reason: he's apparently worried...
Now that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has officially landed in theaters, we can finally put it those darn vampires and werewolves behind us (for now) and look ahead to the year's next mega epic release: James Cameron's Avatar.
Laughter is the best medicine in Funny People, whose "funny" comes largely by way of the macabre. Adam Sandler stars as George, a big-time comedian who finds himself isolated (and spoiled) by his fame, even more so when he's diagnosed with a rare and fatal disease. Sandler brings a perfect balance to George, who may be entrapped by both fame and his illness in the weird and impersonal world of megastardom, but he's still...well, really funny. The film's many cameos are also great.
We already brought you the news that The Twilight Saga: New Moon broke the record for best midnight opening (beating this past summer's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), but while you were scarfing down popcorn and inhaling Robert Pattinson this weekend, the film broke a few other records too.
Seeing as The Twilight Saga: New Moon racked up $140 million at the domestic box office this weekend – giving it sole possession of third place on the all-time best opening weekends list – there's a pretty good chance most of you fought the long lines and took in a screening or several.
Twi-hards, you can breathe a sigh of relief. New Moon director Chris Weitz isn't leaving the world of cinema just yet. Rumors that he's retiring after directing The Gardener hit the mill last week with an interview with Moviemaker Magazine...
Fandango has the exclusive Season of the Witch trailer premiere! Coming out on March 19, 2010 and starring Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman and Claire Foy as the witch, this definitely looks like a scary thrill ride!
Well, so much for the folks who thought all those negative reviews might impact New Moon's opening box office. Variety tells us that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has shattered records and set box office history by grossing an astonishing $26 million in midnight showings alone. The latest installment in the teen vamp franchise...
Yes, there are three new films in wide release this weekend, but I think we're gonna skip our usual Who Will Win The Box Office Poll because, well, I think it's pretty obvious which film will win the weekend. But just how much The Twilight Saga: New Moon makes is an entirely different story. At this same time back in 2008, Twilight opened in theaters...
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"This ain't my first time at the rodeo."
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
