Day 10 - Bay to Breakers (and 'Just Wright') in SF
Vikings, watermelons and naked old guys, oh my...while we can't show you the old nude dudes (darn), here's a photo-by-photo recount as it went down mile-by-mile before the 10th day screening of 'Just Wright' (not nearly as interesting as Bay to Breakers, although the Metreon theater was plenty cool).
The lady coppers were out to enforce rule number one - there are no rules to Bay to Breakers.
Gettin' the jams started early. Just one of many mobile sound systems and acompanying street dancers.
Banana heads on the prowl.
Scrabble super fans.
Oscar the grouch. We think.
Ladybugs ready to party.
One big burrito.
Pimpin' at 9am.
It's not San Francisco without some paisley.
Everything a Bay to Breaker needs - big tunes, balloons and a baby stroller.

They remembered the sombreros, but not the leg warmers.
Some sort of Narnia like creature.
One of many, many, many Beer Guards on duty.
Gone fishin' for good times.
The gods were there, and the cowboys.
All manner of Vikings were on hand with troughs of lively libations.
Pac Man fever.
Hey, it's the Kool Aid guy!
The Water Melon girl, looking for her Water Melon friends.
There they are...
The new Globetrotters.
Walkin' like Egyptians.
The next group of superheroes.
Runnin the melon race.
Hanging out, getting slimed, playing poker...all in a day's race.
Hit. Stay. Drink?
The Revenge of the Nerdettes, complete with theme song.
Bow before the Norse Gods of Merriment.
Mr. and Mrs. Franzia.
Just back from the paint party.
More revelers on the move.
Hey, we know that guy!
Kick Ass incognito.
Ready for his close-up.
The bad girls of SF.
The free drinks float.
Gettin jammed up. Say hello to your neighbors.
Smurf patrol in stealth mode.
Street party time.
Street party time part II.
One more time for the street party.
A PBR flag, and an oversized singles ad. Whatever works.
Badmintons on a pole, and a neverending mass of humanity.
Momma, come get your babies.
Spring Break relocated.
Rachel reacts to the madness, and hands out some more koozies - a huge hit at Bay to Breakers '10.
The cleanup crew arrives.
We know exactly how this girl feels - and it's only mile 4.
