Given the weekly dose of blockbuster movies that are currently arriving in theaters, it's easy to forget that there are some pretty big movies arriving in the latter months of the year.
Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (or The Hobbit: Part 2, for brevity's sake) is one of those movies. Last week, we got a look at Evangeline Lilly as elf warrior Tauriel and this past Sunday a teaser poster was announced with the promise of a teaser trailer arriving this morning.
Sure enough, here it is.
The teaser trailer definitely continues to build on the visual grandeur that Jackson is known for and the CGI looks good as well.
Lord of the Rings fans will be overjoyed to see that Legolas (Orlando Bloom) appears to factor in prominently in the movie and we get to hear Lilly's Tauriel speak a few lines.
Of course, the capper is a look at the massive dragon named Smaug, who slithers into view from behind Bilbo at the very end of the trailer.
