You Rate the New Releases: 'In Time,' 'Puss in Boots' and 'The Rum Diary'

As expected, Halloween did not own the box office on Halloween weekend. Instead, a little animated cat with a whole lot of attitude took the top spot at the box office, with Puss in Boots claiming $34 million and first place. Paranormal Activity 3 did bring in enough timely dollars to settle for second with $18.5 million, while our other two new releases, In Time ($12 million) and The Rum Diary ($5 million), landed in third and fifth place, respectively.

The critics were a little all over the place regarding this week's new releases, with Puss in Boots winning the box office and the popular vote, grabbing an 81% fresh over at Rotten Tomatoes. In Time, despite the cool premise and Justin Timberlake connection, failed to impress at 36% fresh, while Johnny Depp's The Rum Diary did slightly better at 49% fresh. Does this mean Justin Timberlake's five minutes as an action star are over?

Sound off with an answer to the question after voting in our weekly polls below. We've heard from the critics – now it's time to hear what you think.
