You Pick the Box Office Winner (3/30-4/1)

And so we've arrived at the end of another month of movies. Will The Hunger Games retain the top spot at the box office or will Wrath of the Titans slash its way to the top? Perhaps the first of two Snow White re-imaginings this year will charm their way to victory. Let's take a look at what's hitting theaters this weekend…

Wrath of the Titans

What's the Scoop: Sam Worthington returns in the sequel to 2010's Clash of the Titans. The story picks up ten years where Clash ended, with Perseus braving the treacherous underworld and monstrous creatures of all sort to rescue his father, Zeus (Liam Neeson).

Why It Might Win the Weekend: It's pulled in $1 million at midnight screenings proving that there's definitely an audience out there. Plus Neeson has a streak of three movies that have opened at number one (The Grey, Unknown and Narnia: Dawn Treader).

Mirror Mirror

What's the Scoop: Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell) helms Relativity's re-imagined tale of Snow White. Lily Collins stars as Snow opposite Julia Roberts' Evil Queen.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: There's certainly a lack of family comedies in theaters recently. Mirror Mirror could bring in that lucrative family audience.

My Prediction: Despite respectable box office performances from this week's new releases, The Hunger Games juggernaut will be way too much to overcome. Games is expected to gross another $70+ million this weekend, mainly from fans who are watching the movie again for the umpteenth time and general movie-goers who held out from the mayhem last week.

My Pick of the Week: We can't praise this movie enough. Bully is by far our recommend pick of the week. It will hit theaters unrated, but is definitely worth seeking out.
