'Wolf Creek 2' Trailer: In the Outback, "People Like Me Eat People Like You"

Wolf Creek 2

The remote, overwhelming and isolated great Australian Outback has been the setting for a number of disturbing horror movies, but few as unsettling as Greg Maclean's Wolf Creek, inspired by a true story about backpackers who must fight for their lives against serial killer Mick Taylor.

Taylor returns in the long-awaited sequel Wolf Creek 2, again played by genre stalwart John Jarratt, with Maclean once again in the director's chair. As to be expected from a sequel, the stakes are raised, with more unlucky backpackers crossing paths with the maniacal Taylor. And the vehicular mayhem also promises to make the second installment stand out -- check out that final shot for a tease of what's to come.

Wolf Creek 2 is heading to theaters in Australia on February 2. We're still awaiting word on a U.S. release, but surely some smart distributor will see the appeal of survival horror with an Aussie accent. You can watch the trailer below.
