Willis, Malkovich and Mirren Returning As 'Red' Sequel Gets Script

Early this year, word started to leak out that the well-received movie adaptation of Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner’s comic book miniseries Red was getting a sequel. With Helen Mirren on board for a second go as a sniper rifle-wielding secret agent, why not?

MTV News managed to grab some time with Red producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at the Transformers: Dark of the Moon premiere last week. The producer confirmed that a script had just been completed and that “it’s really good.”
“It’s amazing how much people love that movie. It’s caught us all off guard a little bit. We want to go back and play with those characters. I think the audience would be disappointed if we didn’t bring back the crew, but we’ve got to freshen the crew,” di Bonaventura said.
Plans are to bring back Bruce Willis and John Malkovich along with Mirren (and most likely Mary Louise Parker), though casting is looking to add one or two new faces. “We’re really trying to stay focused on our core crew with one or two additions,” di Bonaventura said.
So with that in mind, are you excited for a Red sequel and who would you like to see added to the cast?
