William Shatner Talks 3D Movies, His Musical Career and What Ever Happened to that 'T.J. Hooker' Movie?

Escape from Planet Earth arrives in theaters this weekend and features the voice work of acting legend William Shatner. the star, who voices the character General Shanker (he insists that it's not a play on his last name) sat down with Rogue Pictures to talk about his new films along with working in 3D films, his musical career and updating us on what happened with that T.J. Hooker movie we heard being rumored a few years ago.

On 3D movies: 3D has gotten so that it can absolutely enhance the dramatic possibilities. I love to watch film in 3D. I love the documentaries that are in 3D, so that you're in the environment.

On his Musical Career: I'm working on an album. I love the enhancement that music gives and I love the mood that is set by music without having anything extraneous but a melodic line and all the instruments coming in and then the words come in. There's a wonderful evocative thing that music and words have that I love to play with.

On that T.J. Hooker Movie: We made an announcement to see if anybody would jump at it, I think that was the reasoning, and nobody jumped at it. But I'd love to do it.
