Which Film Rocked Your Box Office This Weekend?

'Unstoppable'The final numbers for the weekend are in, and it looks like Megamind was just too strong of a competitor to be taken out after only one round. The animated superhero comedy took home $30 million, which was enough for it to claim one more victory at the box office. Second place went to Unstoppable ($23 million), with Due Date claiming third ($15 million) and the alien invasion flick Skyline landing in fourth ($11 million), despite a pretty heavy marketing campaign. This just goes to show you that famous stars and well-known names still go a long way with audiences, and that even though Skyline brought some wicked special effects to the table, its cast just wasn’t up to par against these other movies.

But just because it didn’t win out at the box office doesn’t mean it’s not the most well-liked movie in theaters. As such, every Monday we like to do a poll and find out which film rocked your box office over the weekend – meaning, which movie was your favorite, despite what the final numbers are saying. Perhaps you dug Skyline a whole lot more than Megamind, even though the latter made a lot more money.

So sound off below and let us know which film you liked the most. Since we missed last week’s post because yours truly was on vacation (ah, so that’s why you were sad all week!), we’ll include Megamind and Due Date in here too, as well as the week’s other new release, Morning Glory, which ended up in fifth place with $9.6 million.
