What's the Best Solo 'Avengers' Movie So Far?

It's pretty much the consensus that none of the solo Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are better than The Avengers. Not only does it have them all, but it has it all. Consistent entertainment, action, laughs, you name it (okay, maybe not romance).

So, if we wanted to, say, rank them all, it's left to being about which film and hero gets the number-two spot and down from there. It shouldn't be too hard, there are only four characters with their own sub-franchise, and among those there only six titles released ahead of Thor: The Dark World.

And half of them are Iron Man movies -- because Tony Stark wouldn't have any other way, right?

For many of us, it's all about the first one: Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr.'s characterization of Tony Stark immediately merged the actor with the role. And the effects were perfect in a way that you just knew it was this armored Avenger's time, in spite of having been a lesser known hero outside of comic book circles beforehand.

But is it a complete success? Or would that be Captain America: The First Avenger? Or Thor? The big three are all so different, it's not easy to choose a champion.

Few of you will pick The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 are hard to put above the original. If you've seen the new Thor sequel, feel free to name that as the best yet if you believe it to be so.

We already got the ball rolling on this discusion. Fandango polled followers on Twitter for the answer on which solo Avenger movie is the best. The results are as follows with a glimpse of the conversation down below:

Iron Man: 9 votes

Captain America: The First Avenger: 3 votes

Thor: 1 vote

The Incredible Hulk: 0 votes

Iron Man 2: 0 votes

Iron Man 3: 0 votes
