The Doomsday Clock is ticking in the final countdown to Zack Snyder's Watchmen, based on arguably the greatest comic book of all time. To add to the frenzy, NBC has begun airing character clips, starting with Dr. Manhattan. It gives a little background to the ripped, Blue-Man-Group look-alike superhero.
Aficionados everywhere are buying tix for the first midnight IMAX showings, and about 61 percent of Fandango's sales are for Watchmen. They're selling at a rate that's leaving sales for Snyder's previous film, 300, in the rearview mirror.
We recently surveyed 1,000 moviegoers planning to watch the Watchmen and here's what they said:
60% have read the Watchmen graphic novel
57% plan to see the film with a group of pals
85% had seen 300 on the big screen
73% are male
If you haven't bought your tix for opening night yet, it's not too late... get them on Fandango and we’ll give you a free iTunes download of the first chapter of Watchmen Motion Comics, which is basically an enhanced graphic novel with bits of animation and a voiceover.
