The recent addition of J.J. Abrams to the Star Wars franchise has certainly raised the director's profile to a new level. But let's not forget that he has another sequel arriving in theaters this May with that other Star franchise titled Star Trek into Darkness.
In a new featurette, Abrams (along with cameos from a few of the film's stars) talks about how the movie "ups the ante" from the first film and that everything is bigger. Chris Pine who plays Capt. Kirk calles the film "relentless. It's just one thing after another."
Abrams also calls the film the biggest challenge of his career, but the amount of pressure he's sure to face by helming the new Star Wars movie may dwarf this Trek experience. Until then, hear what he has to say in the latest featurette.
Star Trek into Darkness arrives in theaters May 17 and you can get more Trek with the new mobile apps available for Apple and Android phones.
