Watch: 'Dumb and Dumber To' Trailer

Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber To

Released in December 1994, Dumb and Dumber cemented Jim Carrey as a rising comedy star. He began the year with the unexpected success of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and showed his versatility with the zany adventure The Mask during the summer, but it was his collaboration with costar Jeff Daniels and directing duo Peter and Bobby Farrelly that proved Carrey was no fluke, elevating the art of physical comedy to new heights.

Now, 20 years later, Carrey and Daniels have reteamed with the Farrelly brothers to make a sequel, Dumb and Dumber To. Harry's "sheepdog" is back -- see the poster below -- and the pair are again heading on a road trip. This time they're in search of a child Harry never knew he had, a daughter who is now an adult. Really, though, that's just an excuse for the two old friends to show that no territory is out of bounds for their comic antics.

The first trailer debuted on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon; it gives a good idea of what to expect. Dumb and Dumber To opens in theaters on November 14.
