Vin Diesel Still Teasing His Marvel Meetings: Who Do You Think He Will Play?

The plot thickens.

Vin Diesel revealed via social media a few weeks back that he was taking a meeting with Marvel. The Internet, as you could have guessed, exploded with speculation that the Fast & Furious star would find a way into Joss Whedon’s The Avengers 2… or possibly take over a role in a stand-alone movie for Marvel’s Phase Three (and beyond).

Diesel took to Facebook last night to further the discussion – and tease fans with a revealing photo:

"Marvel meeting today,” Diesel writes on his active page. "Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!"

Now, the obvious guess is that Marvel wants Diesel to play Giant Man, as the actor is standing in front of a classic Avengers cover with the character in the background. Those who know Marvel history know that Henry Pym acted as Giant Man before he became Ant-Man… and Ant-Man will be a stand-alone hero in a movie directed by Edgar Wright. Ant-Man hasn’t been cast yet. Could Diesel be Wright’s man?

At the same time, several sites are jumping on the fact that Diesel went out of his to use the word “vision” in his post. Could that mean he’s being offered the role of the Vision, an android hero who also was a founding member of the early Avengers team? The Vision usually was paired with the Scarlet Witch, whom Whedon and Marvel already said will be in The Avengers 2. They might need a Vision, and Diesel could be it.

Marvel would blow the doors off of Hall H by bringing Diesel on stage at Comic-Con, introducing him as part of its Cinematic Universe. Could the studio win Comic-Con with a surprise Diesel announcement?
