Vin Diesel and Paul Walker Returning for 'Fast 5'

Or is it Fast and the Furious 5? Whatever the final title is (right now they really are calling it 'Fast Five'), it looks like the next installment is official with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and director Justin Lin all returning to race cars and all that fun stuff. Actually, the storyline will pick up with Diesel and Walker as fugitives on the run from the law.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker

Production is slated to begin later this year for a 2011 release date. It's no surprise either, especially since the Fast and Furious franchise is one of the most lucrative for Universal. The last installment, titled Fast and Furious, was Universal's highest grossing film of 2009, and the highest-grossing of the entire franchise. Plus, what else do Vin Diesel and Paul Walker have to do with themselves? Neither one has much star power outside this franchise, so they may as well throw all their eggs in one basket and then jump on the gas to see how fast they can take this sucker.
What do you think? Did you like Fast and Furious? Is there still room to tell a story in this franchise, or did it die a long time ago? Sound off below!
