Let's be quite honest with ourselves: The people aren't choosing quiet art-house movies or no-name character actors – they're choosing Twilight and True Blood and anything else that involves a vampire in some way, shape or form. The nominations for this year's People's Choice Awards have been announced, and not surprisingly they're filled with Twilight-related names.
'Twilight' Dominates People's Choice Awards
In fact, out of all the movie categories, only two do not feature Twilight: Favorite Breakout Movie Actress and Favorite Comedic Star. But when you sneak on over to the other categories, you'll notice that Robert Pattinson is among those vying for Favorite Movie Actor (alongside Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp and Ryan Reynolds), and Kristen Stewart is in the running for Favorite Movie Actress (with Anne Hathaway, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock right beside her).
Other categories that feature Twilight include Favorite Movie (Twilight), Favorite Breakout Movie Actor (Taylor Lautner) and Favorite On-Screen Team (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner). Of course Twilight will have to contend with other heavyweights like Harry Potter, Star Trek and The Hangover, so it's by no means an easy sweep for them.
You can vote for the winners (remember it's the people who decide this one!) over at their official website, and you can tune in to see who won when the People's Choice Awards airs on CBS on January 6th.
Whaddya think – does Twilight have a chance or what?
