'Twilight' Co-Star Kellan Lutz Says 'Breaking Dawn' Ends Differently From Book, Promises End-Credit Surprise

You’ve done your homework, Twilight fans. You’ve read the novels. You’ve watched all of the films. You are strapping in for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2, and you think you know how it’s all going to end.
Get ready for a few surprises.
Co-star Kellan Lutz, speaking to The Insider, says that Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon cooked up a different ending from the book, realizing an opportunity to deliver an alternate – yet hopefully satisfying – conclusion to the wildly-successful vampire-werewolf franchise.
"Every film's been building and building, and Bill … really had a great idea with ending the series with Breaking Dawn 2, and just adding a little more flavor to parts of the book that weren't there, but he elaborated more on. I think the fans are really going to enjoy it," said Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen in the series.
He also cautioned fans to stay through the full end credits, as there’s going to be a “really special thing happening” that viewers likely won’t want to miss.
Hard to imagine what that could be. Breaking Dawn, Part 2 will conclude the series, so Condon and his crew aren’t able to tease the next chapter. Maybe it’s just a thank you to fans for the support they’ve shown over the years? Or a shot of novelist Stephenie Meyer sitting on a massive pile of money?
We’ll see soon enough. The Twilight Saga concludes on Nov. 16. Get your tickets while they last.
