When it comes to official titles for Transformers sequels, they've been about as clunky as the robots themselves. We only need to go back to the last sequel, Dark of the Moon.
Today, courtesy of Yahoo, we not only have the official title but also the first teaser poster for the film.
The artwork suggests that we're in a desert climate and the term "Age of Extinction" may lead credence to the long-rumored appearance of Dinobots (robots that turned into dinosaurs) in the film.
"I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about," said producer Lorenzo di Boneventura. "The world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes."
Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammar and Nicola Peltz and is due in theaters June 27, 2014.
What do you think of the first poster and official title? Are you excited for the appearance of Dinobots?
