This adaptation of the popular kids' books has quietly gone and made a sequel without causing a whole stink about it.Wimpy Kid 2 The first film definitely worked in what it was trying to succeed – a decent family-friendly adaptation of a quirky coming-of-age book series aimed at kids – and it did well enough to do what a lot of adaptations fail to do these days: create more sequels.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick's Revenge picks up where the last one left off, and follows the trials and tribulations (school, parents, pranksters) of a mild-mannered…wimpy kid. Check out the trailer below, and look for it in theaters on March 25th.
