Trailer Watch: 'Shrek Forever After' and 'The Bounty Hunter'

With the holidays upon us, the studios are looking to drop trailers for some of the biggest films of 2010 into their end-of-the-year movies. So what that means is a whole ton of trailers are popping up online left, right and sideways this week. Today, we have two new ones to share with you.

Shrek Forever After
Supposedly they're saying this is the final Shrek film, but if the franchise continues to make boatloads of money, you can bet DreamWorks will find more ways to get a few bucks out of our lovable green ogre (ie: TV specials, direct-to-DVD offerings, etc).
In Shrek Forever After, Shrek has found that he's sort of lost his mojo. Whereas the villagers used to be afraid of him, they now ask him for his autograph. So, in order to get back into the swing of things, Shrek strikes a deal with the evil Rumpelstiltskin and accidentally winds up being sent to a version of Far, Far, Away where Shrek never existed. Can he somehow figure out a way to return to his old home before he's permanently stuck in this new one? We'll find out on May 21, 2010. Watch the trailer below.

The Bounty Hunter
Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston once again show us that they're fully committed to starring in every other romantic comedy that hits theaters by co-starring in this flick about a bounty hunter who must track down and detain his ex-girlfriend after she skips a court hearing. Of course there's lots of things that get in the way – including the fact that half the state of New Jersey is after this gal for reasons that are kinda-sorta addressed in the trailer.
Sure, it's harmless, and there definitely looks to be some of that cute, cuddly road trip banter, but it's just hard for me to watch Butler star in these types of movies when I know he's so much better at beating the living crap out of evil villains in big blockbustery-type stuff.
What do you think? Watch the trailer below. The Bounty Hunter hits theaters on March 19th.
