Trailer Watch: New Trailers for 'Glee 3D,' 'The Thing' Prequel and an All-Star Cast in 'Contagion'

Glee 3D

Announced only earlier this year, the trailer for the Glee 3D movie has premiered. The movie essentially follows the formula of concert documentaries that have preceded it, like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber’s flicks with behind the scenes footage mixed with on-stage performances. I’m sure more than a few Glee-haters will agree with Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester comment toward the end of the trailer.

Watching the trailer for the prequel of The Thing, titled, what else, The Thing, one can’t help but try to compare Mary Elizabeth Winstead to Kurt Russell in the original The Thing. Depending on how you feel about remakes that use shot-for-shot sequences, you’re either going to love The Thing or really, really loathe it.

Saving the best for last, which really isn’t saying much given this batch of trailers, Contagion brings together an impressive cast of actors in Steven Soderbergh’s Outbreak-esque dramatic thriller. Gwyenth Paltrow stars as Matt Damon’s wife who becomes infected with a lethal airborne virus. Kate Winslet tries to help him figure things out while Marion Cotillard, Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne try to contain the pending epidemic.
