Trailer: Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson Travel Back in Time to 'Free Birds'

Turkeys have been synonymous with Thanksgiving for several centuries now. But what if a couple of birds went back in time and altered the course of history? What would we be munching on during that last Thursday in November?

That's the premise of the new holiday-themed animated comedy Free Birds arriving in theaters November 1.

Here's the full synopsis for the film:

Owen Wilson voices a lucky turkey named Reggie who gets pardoned by the president and is sent to live his life comfortably at a farm in Camp David. But as soon as Reggie gets settled in, he meets a wild turkey named Jake (Woody Harrelson) who recruits him to help scour a military base for a hidden time machine which Jake plans to use to go back in time to the first Thanksgiving and somehow get turkeys off the menu for good.

In addition to Wilson and Harrelson, the film also features voice work from Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Keith David, George Takei and basketball star Dwight Howard.

What do you think of the first trailer? Will you make this movie a part of your holiday season watch list?
