Trailer for 'Quiet Ones' Disturbs the Old-Fashioned Way

The Quiet Ones

The latest film from legendary British production company Hammer will hit U.S. theaters on April 25, and judging from the newest trailer, it can't come fast enough. The Quiet Ones stars Jared Harris as a college professor who enlists his students in an experiment to create a poltergeist. The students are led by Sam Claflin (the hunky Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), and the experiment is performed upon a disturbed young woman, played by Olivia Cooke (TV's Bates Motel).

The official synopsis explains further: "Their quest: to explore the dark energy that her damaged psyche might manifest. As the experiment unravels along with their sanity, the rogue PhD students are soon confronted with a terrifying reality: they have triggered an unspeakable force with a power beyond all explanation."

The new trailer claims the film is "inspired by actual events." Whatever the reality, take a peek into a disquieting world, filled with terror.
