Trailer: Apple Teases 'Prometheus' Trailer Premiere

And the previews continue this afternoon -- this time for Ridley Scott's Prometheus, except it's not the full trailer. Nope, instead Apple has released a 30-second teaser for the trailer, which they say will premiere in 3 days. So in the meantime we have this little nugget to whet your appetite -- featuring Ridley Scott briefly discussing Prometheus while quick shots from the film tease the hell out of our imaginations.

Scott recently confirmed in an interview that while this will have a few ties to the previous Alien movies, it will not feature the alien we've all come to know, love and fear. It will, however, tell the story of how the infamous "Space Jockey" from the first Alien came to be ... and, well, we're sure Scott and co. have some other creepy-cool things hiding up their sleeves.

Prometheus hits theaters on June 8th, 2012. Check out the preview and synopsis below. We'll have more on this once the official trailer hits.

Synopsis: Ridley Scott, director of "Alien" and "Blade Runner," returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
