Tony Scott Remembered Through the Trailers from His Top Films

Hollywood lost a vital, innovative voice when director Tony Scott passed away on Sunday. But news of his death prompted Scott’s countless fans to flood Twitter and Facebook with a celebration of his life, and his contributions to our cinematic community.
Scott, 68, started directing in 1969 with the short One of the Missing. But his contributions to the action and thriller genres would help define the sarcastic, whip-fast movement that characterizes today’s features.
His first major feature – Top Gun – might have remained his most popular film. Yet, a thorough scan of Twitter following Scott’s death proved that all of his films touched fans in some way. His admirers singled out scenes in True Romance, Domino, Man on Fire, Crimson Tide, and Revenge as they debated Scott’s best films.
Let’s keep the conversation going. As part of our tribute to the late Tony Scott, we’re including trailers for his top films, including his most recent feature, Unstoppable, with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Use the comments section below to share your favorite Scott film, or a scene from his body of work that resonates. Let’s celebrate his life, even as we mourn this tragic loss.
