'Titanic' Time Warp: Travel Back to 1997 for a Vintage Kate Winslet Interview in Our Exclusive Fandango Flashback

This week, Paramount Pictures and James Cameron invite audiences back to Titanic, so we can experience the 11-time Oscar winner as we’ve never seen it before … in 3D!

Hopefully over the weekend you watched our very own Grae Drake’s exclusive report from the Titanic red-carpet celebration in London, where she managed to sit down with the movie’s star, Kate Winslet, and reflect on the film’s staggering impact.
It’s a great interview. But getting to London in the year 2012 is a piece of cake. I wanted to reach back even further and catch up with Titanic’s stars before the film defied industry expectations, shattered box office records, converted countless fans and made Cameron the self-proclaimed “King of the World!”
With Paramount’s help, we’re delighted to bring you an exclusive feature that welcomes you into a virtual time machine, spins the dial back to 1997 to brings you long-lost interviews that were part of Titanic’s promotional campaign from 15 years ago. It's a Titanic Time Warp, and it's only on Fandango!
In our first clip, we have the Oscar-nominated Winslet reflecting on the epic scope of an early scene from the film; the importance of the romance between her character and Leonardo DiCaprio’s vagabond artist, Jack; and the thrill of working with an icon like Gloria Stuart.
Travel back to 1997 with us and see how Winslet spoke about Cameron’s Titanic before it became the worldwide phenomenon we know it to be today:
Keep checking the site this week as we ramp up for the launch of Titanic 3D with vintage insight from DiCaprio and Cameron. Are you ready to go back to Titanic? Grab your tickets here, and watch the exclusive trailer for the 3D rerelease, only on Fandango.
