This 'Gravity' Clip Is the Scariest Trailer You'll See All Year

Here’s your challenge for today: Try to make it through this two-minute trailer for Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity without holding your breath, inching to the edge of your seat, and screaming.

You’re going to have to let me know how it is. I won’t watch. Not because I’m terrified. I just made a pact with myself weeks ago that I was going to watch Cuaron’s latest masterpiece unspoiled by early trailers and clips. He’s one of my favorite directors, and I love the concept behind this new film, which details a space-based accident that separates an astronaut (Sandra Bullock) from her satellite.
That doesn’t mean, however, that I’m not enjoying reading the reaction pieces when Cuaron shows Gravity footage… like when he blew the doors off of Hall H in Comic-Con with a sizzle reel that left jaws on the floors.
Gravity will open the Venice Film Festival, then travel to Toronto for another splashy debut. The movie opens in theaters on October 4. Here’s the latest poster. Tell me, can you watch the above clip without getting the chills?
