‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Trailer Has Arrived!

There is a god … and he’s a Twi-hard.

'Eclipse' Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer fans have been waiting months for has finally arrived online (it’ll also screen before prints of Remember Me this weekend), and, well, our hearts have officially stopped beating. Summit has released a minute and a half of pure, unfiltered, angsty teen relationship drama, with Bella (Kristen Stewart) trying to decide whether she wants to become a vampire in order to be with Edward (Robert Pattinson), while Jacob (Taylor Lautner) tries everything under the sun (including going topless in more than one scene) to get Bella to be with him instead.
Not only do they tease a tasty confrontation between Jacob and Edward, but there seems to be an intensity that keeps building in this trailer, especially when Bryce Dallas Howard shows up – and subsequently jumps over some rocks – as Victoria.
The first teaser trailer for Eclipse is definitely heavy on the love triangle stuff, and I’m surprised because I thought part of the reason why they brought horror director David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) onto the project was that so he’d make a film that appealed to more boys. If that’s the case, I have to say this is not the kind of trailer that will get boys to want to see this film. We need something with a little action, a little suspense … and a little less whining about who’s gonna be with who and for how long.
That’s my opinion, anyway. Let’s drop the soap opera stuff for five minutes and show us a good fight. What do you think of this first trailer? Are you excited to see more? Do you feel they did a good job with it? Sound off below …
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters on June 30th.
