'The Host' Clip Takes Stephenie Meyer Fans Behind the Scenes of New Thriller

Now that The Twilight Saga has concluded in spectacular fashion, Stephenie Meyer’s dedicated fan base has turned its collective attention to The Host, Andrew Niccol’s anticipate adaptation of the author’s sci-fi story.

Open Road Films has circled March 29 as a prime release date for the romantic thriller, which stars Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, Atonement), Max Irons and Jake Abel in a futuristic adventure about humans fighting back against a unique alien invasion. And in preparation for the release, the studio shared a brief behind-the-scenes featurette with Moviefone. In the clip, Ronan opens up about doing her own stunts, while we get some exclusive footage of the cast and crew hard at work on The Host. We have the feature for you below:

In addition, the first official character poster for Ronan’s Melanie Stryder made its way online:

The Host introduces fans to a new side of Meyer. No vampires. No werewolves. Will audiences still respond? We’ll find out on March 29, when The Host opens in theaters across the United States.
