'The Grand Budapest Hotel' - Our First Look at the New Wes Anderson Film!

Do I even need to tell you that The Grand Budapest Hotel is a Wes Anderson film? The color palettes, speech patterns, inspired casting and spectacular facial hair on display in this new clip should be more than enough evidence to tell you that the Rushmore and Moonrise Kingdom director is back on the scene with a new comedy that’s expected to reach theaters early next year.
By the looks of it, Anderson is making his Clue, with a murder mystery in a luxurious (and, of course, eccentric) European hotel triggering the action. The director loves having a bold, male authoritative figure on which to focus – from Bill Murray (The Life Aquatic) and Gene Hackman (The Royal Tenenbaums) to Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore) – and Grand Budapest appears to have carved out a breathtakingly funny role for Ralph Fiennes. He emerges from this Budapest trailer as the MVP of a brilliant ensemble.
Grand Budapest just looks fantastic:

That face-punching joke is hilarious. I’ve watched it three times, and laugh every time.
Fox Searchlight announced this week that The Grand Budapest Hotel will open in theaters on March 7, 2014. Based on this trailer, that’s not soon enough!
