'The Avengers' Trailer: All Your Favorite Marvel Superheroes Explode On Screen

Well, here it is: The first official trailer for Marvel's The Avengers has arrived online, and if you've seen any of the set videos or previously-released still images, then you've already got a sense of where this one is heading. The trailer teases a little bit of everything -- from the explosive New York-set action centerpiece, which involves superheroes like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) battling something fierce on the streets of Manhattan, to all the quirky chit-chatter that we'd expect to see once you put all these giant egos in a room together -- this thing looks like it will deliver on all cylinders. And hey, now Captain America has a machine gun. The only bummer we spot is no Incredible Hulk just yet. Marvel looks to be saving that money shot for a little later on.

Check it out below (or in HD over at Apple) and let us know what you think. More footage is expected to premiere this weekend at New York Comic-Con, but until then feast your eyes on a piece of the film you Marvel geeks have been anticipating for a long time.
