In Webb’s reboot of the classic Spider-Man mythology, the fictional Oscorp Industries – and its CEO, Norman Osborn -- play a larger role in Peter Parker’s universe. To reveal more would be to spoil, and we explain that only to point you to the Web site for Oscorp Industries.
There, fans who’ve scoured the various pages can land on an invitation to special, free advance screenings of Spider-Man on Monday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m.
Screenings are being held in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Washington, DC, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.
Details on the individual screenings, however, will not be revealed until the day of the screening. And on that day, fans seeking tickets will have to embark on a scavenger hunt, of sorts, until the 24 pairs of allotted screening tickets have been unearthed. They will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Lucky fans will be treated to an early screening of Webb’s popcorn blockbuster, free of charge.
Early word on The Amazing Spider-Man has been overwhelmingly positive. The movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is tracking at or near $125 million for its opening weekend. And the majority of early reviews posted to Rotten Tomatoes have been favorable.
