Sylvester Stallone, Robert DeNiro Boxing Flick Gets Green Light

For those of you who have been waiting for the Rocky Balboa vs. Jake LaMotta showdown, your dreams have come true… sort of.

Warner Bros. has given the green light on a Peter Segal-directed boxing flick titled Grudge Match, which will feature Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro playing a couple of washed up boxers who decide to climb back in the ring one more time.

Both actors have portrayed famous boxing characters in prior films, with DeNiro playing the role of LaMotta in Martin Scorsese's classic Raging Bull, while Stallone has, of course, portrayed Rocky in five films.

Also joining the project is Kevin Hart, who continues to ride the success of Think Like A Man, The Five-Year Engagement and other comedies. Hart has signed on to play a boxing promoter who brings the bout to fruition.

The film is written by Entourage creator Doug Ellin and will should arrive in theaters late next year.

So who do you have your money on? Rocky or LaMotta?
