Steve Jobs Biopic 'jOBS' Starring Ashton Kutcher Gets Release Date

Earlier this year, when the Steve Jobs biopic jOBS was gearing up for its Sundance Film Festival premiere, we got a glimpse of Ashton Kutcher portraying the late Apple founder in the movie's first and thus far only clip.

Back then, most of you who commented felt that the acting was terrible and that Kutcher didn't do the role justice. Of course, that's based off of one clip.

Critics who saw the film at Sundance commented by saying the film "feels like a TV movie," and was "too respectful of the tech icon's innovaations." There was some praise among the mixed reviews, although Kutcher's performance seems to be the fulcrum of whether you'll like or dislike the movie.

We won't have to wait long to find out. Open Road Films has announced the film will arrive in theaters August 16, putting it against Kick-Ass 2, The Butler and Paranoia.

If you missed it, here's the only clip of the movie that exists thus far. Are you interested in watching this movie?
