'Star Trek' Fans: How Can You Get This IMAX Poster?

This is becoming a habit … and one we absolutely can get behind.

IMAX is introducing IMAX FANFIX, an evolution of the company’s 12:01 program. The effort is meant to reward avid IMAX fans with limited edition, collectible prints for select films if they attend designated screening. Recently, we told you about plans to reward audiences who go to the first IMAX screenings of Iron Man 3. The next film offering a cool print will be Star Trek Into Darkness.

“We’re excited and honored to collaborate with Paramount Pictures, Bad Robot and Gallery 1988 to unveil the first edition in the series: a special STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS print from artist Mark Englert,” IMAX reps said in a press release. “Fans attending the 8 p.m. IMAX show on Wednesday, May 15 at participating locations will receive this original print.”

A complete list of participating theaters can be found on IMAX’s official site. Find a location near you, and be one of the first fans in the seats for J.J. Abrams’ anticipated sequel, which finds Capt. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) journeying to the deepest corners of space to apprehend a new threat in Benedict Cumberbatch.

The movie will begin sneaking in theaters on May 15. And if you’re there early, you might go home with a limited-edition poster in hand.
