We've already spoken at length about the little things that annoy us while inside a theater, like a person talking or texting during a movie. Last week I asked you whether theaters should be allowed to silence your phone for you, to which many of you replied with a variety of good answers. This week, however, I'd like to take a different approach and ask you about things theaters don't have that you wish they did.
Now maybe you'll just circle back to last week's conversation and mention a device that allows theaters to shut down phones so an audience can enjoy a movie free of distractions, but I'd love to see some of your wild ideas. Heck, the crazier, the better -- just because it might not seem doable in today's world doesn't mean it won't be doable a few years down the line.
Personally, I'd love to see some healthier food options. I know a lot of theaters offer salads now and some wraps, but I'd love to see them get more creative by finding healthier alternatives to some of the stuff that's existed for a long time, like healthier popcorn and sugar-free candy. Also, it might be nice to have a button inside the theater that alerts a manager about projector problems so that no one has to physically leave the theater, or maybe a system that allows you to order your theater food online ahead of time so it's waiting for you when you get there.
Those are just some ideas off the top of my head, but I really want to hear what you have to say. So ...
