Should Lautner Stay as 'New Moon's Jacob?

Move over Edward. Team Jacob is stealing the spotlight. Twilighters are fussing about whether Taylor Lautner will reprise his role as Jacob Black in New Moon. Summit is expected to deliver the verdict this week.

Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will return as Bella and Edward, but the future is uncertain for Lautner. "Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon," Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of both Twilight films, tells EW. "He's a foot taller and huge -- and he's supposed to look 25. It's really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role."

The 16-year-old actor has already started bulking himself up by gaining 19 pounds since Twilight; he tells MTV he’s promising to pack on 10 more pounds before shooting starts in March. He better get a move on—rumors are flying that Michael Capon (Scorpion King 2), 26, and 22-year-old Steven Strait (10,000 BC) are also vying for the Jacob role.
