'Sex and the City' Sequel Sets Release Date

Admit it, the only reason you read this blog is to find out when, exactly, the next Sex and the City movie is due to hit theaters. It’s cool, you won’t hurt my feelings – I know how popular those ladies are and I’m not ashamed to say that I may have accidentally stumbled across two or three…seasons.

Last year, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda hit the big screen for the first time and absolutely took the world by storm, racking up something in the neighborhood of $152 million in the United States alone, and a whopping $412 million worldwide. Yup, for an R-rated rom-com based on an HBO show. Go figure. Of course, that meant only one thing: sequel! Variety tells us that the Sex and the City gals are returning to the same late-May spot they were so successful with the last time, locking down a May 28, 2010 release date. Currently we don’t know which direction they plan to take the franchise, but all the girls will return (along with some new cast members, we’re sure) and one kinda expects Carrie to, well, be expecting, so we’ll see…

Where would you like to see them take the Sex and the City franchise from here?
