When Transformers: Age of Extinction arrives in theaters on June 27, it'll come stuffed with new looks for at least two of the franchise's more well-known characters: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. "They are bigger and badder ass than they have ever been," producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told USA Today, also comparing the new look to the updates Batman's suit receives from movie to movie.
Among the changes are a sword for Optimus Prime, who will take the form of an "impressive Great Western truck" in the fourth installment, directed once again by Michael Bay. Bumblebee, meanwhile, was given a new souped-up yellow Camaro and "Chinese star-style adornments" to tie in with his love of martial arts.
Also new to Age of Extinction are the Dinobots, which are large dinosaur-like creatures who crash onto the scene "with their fists and feet first," says Di Bonaventura.
As far as the humans go, Mark Wahlberg replaces Shia LaBeouf this time around. He's playing a "single father and cash-poor inventor" who finds himself on the frontlines of another action-packed Transformers movie when he gets a bullet-riddled truck to repair, not knowing the truck is actually Optimus Prime in disguise. Newcomers Nicola Peita and Jack Reynor play Wahlberg's daughter and her boyfriend, respectively, while T.J. Miller will serve as the "comedic sidekick."
