Scoop This: 'Real Steel' Trailer, Zac Efron's 'Gunfight', and 'Rentaghost'

Real SteelHugh Jackman Trains Boxing Robots in 'Real Steel'

Directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum), Real Steel takes place in a near-future where robot boxing has become a really popular sport. The film stars Hugh Jackman as a failed boxing promoter who gets a second shot at greatness when he discovers a discarded robot that he thinks has what it takes to become the next champion. Due out on October 7th, 2011, based on this trailer the film looks like Rocky meets Transformers, and that's just fine by us since both movies pack enough of a punch to hold our attention for two hours. Check it out and give us your thoughts below ..

Zac Efron to 'Die in a Gunfight'
Looking to up his action star repertoire, Zac Efron has signed up to star in a film called 'Die in a Gunfight,' about "a fight-prone and death-obsessed young society man who pursues a romance with the daughter of his father's enemy." Sounds a bit like a modern-day retelling of Romeo and Juliet, which has us wondering who will play Efron's Juliet. Vanessa Hudgens, maybe? Give us your suggestions…Russell Brand
Russell Brand Signs Up for 'RentaGhost'
Hollywood has their eyes on turning Russell Brand into "the next big thing," offering up roles left and right to the comedian who first wooed American audiences in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Now they're putting him in the film RentaGhost, based on the old British TV show. In the film, which sounds a lot like Beetlejuice, Brand will play a dead guy who starts up a temp agency for ghosts who'd like to be more productive in the afterlife. Sounds perfect for the larger-than-life Brand, though ghost comedies don't tend to do that well for some reason (with the exception of Beetlejuice). What do you think? Do you remember the TV series? Do you think this idea works?
