'Scary Movie 5' Will Be Parody of 'Black Swan,' Anna Faris Not Returning

It has been seven years since the last Scary Movie hit theaters and while there have certainly been a host of horror movies that could have easily been spoofed, including the over-used found-footage format, the producers of the fifth Scary Movie have decided to skewer an Oscar Award-winning film from two years ago.

The comedy franchise will parody Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, which features a best actress performance from Natalie Portman. The plot for Scary Movie 5 is as follows, courtesy of The Film Stage:

The story in ‘Scary Movie 5’ involves the dance world, with a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French director of a dance company named Pierre putting on a huge production. Jody, a Caucasian late-20′s mother of two and her late-20′s African American friend Kendra are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30′s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry, gets cut from the production and goes berserk.

If you're thinking Anna Faris, who has reprised her role in all four previous Scary films will be back, think again. In a recent interview with ComingSoon, the actress flat-out denied that she would be involved.

"No, I don't think I'm going to do it. I don't think I'm a part of that. I don't know exactly what's happening with it, but I hear it's sort of in the works and stuff."

Scary Movie 5 doesn't arrive in theaters until January 11, 2013. In the meanwhile, enjoy Jim Carrey's quintessential Black Swan spoof below.
