Sam Raimi to Tackle Wyatt Earp Sci-Fi Western

Well, we can probably say for certainty that Sam Raimi won't be directing The Hobbit anytime soon. The Spider-Man director is still working on a World of Warcraft movie, but before that gets underway it looks like he'll be tackling another sci-fi flick called Earp: Saints for Sinners, based on an upcoming graphic novel.

Sam Raimi

Not much is known about the graphic novel (more details will be revealed at Comic-Con this week), except that it features a modern-day version of the iconic cowboy Wyatt Earp as an outlaw battling his way through a post-apocalyptic wasteland where the only people left live in Las Vegas. (Hey, that's where the party is, right?)
Raimi is also in talks about developing the Wizard of Oz prequel starring Robert Downey Jr. called Oz: The Great and Powerful, and so it seems like the director is lining up a number of interesting projects with fantastical elements and then seeing which one is ready to go first. Most likely World of Warcraft will sit a little longer as that still needs a finished script, but these other two could go sooner assuming all the parts come together.
Which project would you rather see Sam Raimi take on: Oz: The Great and Powerful or Earp: Saints for Sinners?
