Ryan Gosling Drops Out of Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Logan's Run' Remake

Though it has been years in development, it looks like Nicolas Winding Refn's remake of Logan's Run starring his Drive star Ryan Gosling has hit a snag, namely because Gosling has apparently dropped out of the production.

Variety's Justin Kroll confirmed that Gosling dropped out in a tweet yesterday, but didn't get into why the actor dropped out.

There are, of course, a number of reasons why Gosling may have dropped out. He's certainly got a busy schedule as one of the most in-demand actors working right now. It's possible his exit may be a result of an unavoidable scheduling conflict.

Refn still remains attached to the project and is still aiming to shoot next year. In the meanwhile, fans of the Gosling-Refn combo can take solace in Only God Forgives, which Refn is currently putting the finishing touches on and is set to hit theaters sometime next year.
