Rumor: Jason Statham Cameo in 'Fast & Furious 6' Will Set Up 'Fast 7' Lead Villain Role

As if the Fast and Furious franchise didn't have enough actors already on its list, a new rumor from AICN suggests that a new character will cameo at the end of Fast & Furious 6 and leading the way to Fast & Furious 7.

Before we jump into it, be warned there are some serious spoilers below.

OK, so here's what is being rumored.

As we all know by now, Luke Evans is playing the main villain, Owen Shaw, in Fast 6. The rumored cameo is purported to possibly occur in the end credits sequence, much like Fast Five teased the return of Michelle Rodriguez.

AICN describes the scene as a chase in Tokyo, where police are pursuing a Mazda RX-7, with a Mercedes S-Class following the chase, before it slams into the RX-7. When the driver gets out of the car, it's none other than Jason Statham, who plays Ian Shaw, the older brother of Evans' character.

We learn that the driver of the RX-7 was being driven by Sung Kang's Han. Ian pulls out his cell phone and calls Dom (Vin Diesel) and says Dom doesn't know him, but he's about to.

The scene sets up the possibility that The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift takes place in between Fast Six and Fast Seven.

Statham is reportedly set to play the lead villain in Fast Seven, which is a couple years from arriving in theaters. Universal has not confirmed any part of the above-detailed rumor.

First things first though, Fast & Furious 6 arrives in theaters May 24.

Are you excited to hear that Statham will cameo in this movie and be a large part of the seventh film in the Fast franchise?
