'RoboCop' Reboot Suit Spotted On Set. Do You Like It?

The new RoboCop doesn’t necessarily look like the old RoboCop. He looks like the old Batman.
Photos of Joel Kinnaman in costume as RoboCop from the planned franchise reboot were posted on ComingSoon over the weekend, giving us an idea of one of the iterations director Jose Padilha has planned for his 2013 release. We have the two images below from the movie’s Toronto set. Check them out and weigh in on the design of this RoboCop suit.
Obviously, they’ve so far gone with a dark black look over the silver and chrome look of the original RoboCop (played by the great Peter Weller). I’m basically assuming that Padilha would like to mimic Christopher Nolan’s Batman suit from his iconic Dark Knight trilogy. But it’s possible, based on what we’re hearing about the script, that this could be one of several RoboCop suits we see over the duration of the movie, as Kinnaman might be changing his look through various “upgrades” as the film progresses.
We shall see. RoboCop opens on Aug. 9, 2013. In addition to Kinnaman, it co-stars Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Clive Owen, Abbie Cornish, Michael K. Williams, Jackie Earle Haley and Michael Keaton as the chief antagonist.
