Disney wasn't the only studio to shuffle titles around today. A quartet of highly anticipated films moved around on the release calendar.
First, the two films that got bumped back. Granted, no reason was given, but both Neill Blomkamp's Elysium starring Matt Damon (above) and Jose Padilha's RoboCop remake got pushed back.
Elysium, previously slated for March 1, 2013 was delayed to August 9, 2013, perhaps to take advantage of San Diego Comic-Con, which will take place a few weeks before the film's release.
RoboCop meanwhile, was slated for August 9, 2013, but has been pushed back even further to February 7, 2014.
Two films moved up in the release schedule. First, Scary Movie 5 jumped up a week to April 12, 2013 where it will now take on the Evil Dead remake. Meanwhile, Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, the sequel to the surprise hit Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was moved forward from February 7, 2014 to a new release date of September 27, 2013.
