Rev Your Engines for the Final 'Fast & Furious 6' Trailer

“Somebody do something! I got a tank on my ass!”

The summer blockbuster season isn’t ONLY about superheroes, though it might feel that way with the world buzzing about Iron Man 3 as it heads to theaters on May 3. And if audiences need a reminder that there are alternatives to comic-book thrillers at the multiplexes this season, the crew from Fast & Furious 6 have unleashed the third and final trailer for their Memorial Day epic. And it does, indeed, look epic. Check it out below:

Outside of the use of an age-old Prodigy track, the rest of this trailer looks cutting edge and full-throttle. The teaser sets up much more of the plot, pulling in the bait of a resurrected Michelle Rodriguez to get Vin Diesel and Paul Walker back in the game. The action leaves Rio and pit stops in London before hitting the hard streets of the globe … and flying characters through the air, which is a visual trademark of this chapter.

Oh, and then there is that tank, which is trouble for Tyrese but should lead to one of the summer’s most memorable sequences of vehicular manslaughter.

Fast 6 roars into theaters on May 24. And stick around through the end credits, because I’m fairly certain we’ll see a tease for Fast & Furious 7, which already has been announced as heading to theaters in Summer 2014. Start your engines!
