'Resident Evil: Retribution' Unveils Full Trailer, Hosts Milla Jovovich Online Q&A

Resident Evil fans, today is going to feel like Christmas.

By now, you know that Resident Evil: Retribution -- the fifth installment in the long-running Evil franchise -- is reaching theaters on Sept. 14. The new film once again reunites Milla Jovovich with director (and husband) Paul W.S. Anderson as her resilient character, Alice, continues to wage war on the corrupt and murderous Umbrella corporation.

But after a viral video and Web site started the campaign ball rolling, Sony stepped up its game today with a full Retribution trailer and an online chat with Jovovich hosted on the film’s official Facebook page. If you are a fan and you haven’t “liked” that page yet, you might want to start.

We have the trailer below. But in her conversation with fans, Jovovich promised a sequel that will “up the ante” from previous installments. According to CinemaBlend, Jovovich said: "There's so much stuff that's not even in the trailer, that's so amazing. ... There's so much crazy stuff that's not in the trailer, just because it's not ready yet! ... The really amazing thing in this movie is how global it is … because it really takes place around the world -- including New York. So I think what really stands out is the global scope of it."

As has been hinted in the past, Jovovich and Anderson say they have one last story to tell in the Resident Evil universe, and then – as Jovovich joked – "Momma needs a rest!"

What do you think? Are you excited for Retribution? Will you be willing to stick around for one last chapter in the cinematic franchise? And how would you like to see this story end?

Here’s the latest trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution. The movie co-stars Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon and Michelle Rodriguez. It hits 3D screens on Sept. 14.
