For Quentin Tarantino fans, the last few months of 2012 are going to feel like an extended Christmas. The director’s latest film, Django Unchained, actually arrives in theaters on Dec. 25. And two events celebrating the filmmaker’s first 20 years in the business will help fans reflect on the movies that turned him into a household name.
Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction each will return to theaters for one night only in December as part of an ongoing Tarantino XX celebration. Miramax, NCM Fathom and IGN are behind the screenings, which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4 (for Dogs) and Thursday, Dec. 6 (for Fiction). According to a release, each screening will include a special feature that captures QT’s accomplishments over the first 20 years of his career.
These screenings coincide with the release of a Blu-ray box set packaging all of Tarantino’s films into one collection for the first time. The 8-disc kit arrives in stores on Nov. 20.
And all of this news coincides with the release of an international Django Unchained trailer, which boasts tons of new footage from Tarantino’s anticipated Western. Check it out for yourself below.
Like we said, it’s a very good time to be a Tarantino fan. So tell us, which are you more excited for: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained or the Tarantino Blu-ray box set? And yes, “all of the above” is an acceptable answer.
